This is a homeowner level tool that worked like.

This is a home use tool that worked well but probably wouldn't stand up to everyday use in a bike shop. I would recommend it to others for home use

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No automatic

not worth buying! best in tool kits

I have been trying to use this to remove the pedals from the exercise bike I am trying to repair, first removing the cheap key then removing the removal tool. What a waste of money these items shot from my hand not that I'm trying to twist them with a long wrench, crowbars or some other power multiplier.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Out of fashion

This is a cheap tool. A little mod made it a perfect tool.

Hemmed face down on the BB socket. The chamfer on the teeth seemed too deep and ate the plastic teeth on the bb26 before I figured out what the problem was. MM was enough to turn it into a great fitting tool, so keep that in mind. Your experience may be different.

Pros
  • Cool Product
Cons
  • Expandable

This tool works great on my bike. I had a grip.

This tool works great on my bike. I had a handle that got stuck and I use a tool and try to separate the handle, unfortunately their handle got stuck so much that it eliminated the threats they said I had to use. Gear puller, ended up removing the crank from my bike but the thread on the tool stays good, the tools are good quality and well made

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • No

Shaft diameter too big for square drive

The crank puller shank was too large in diameter and had to be ground to avoid hitting the inside of the arm. After grinding it down about 1/8" on all sides, it just fit the square bar and worked well enough to remove the lever. Socket requires 2 people to remove the bottom bracket; one to hold the bushing in place and to hold and the other to apply force to the wrench.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Crank puller has incorrect threads

The crank puller consists of two parts. 1 is screwed into the other. However, they are not properly machined and do not rotate smoothly. It's like trying to put a nut on a bolt that wasn't properly machined. It's so tedious to screw one part into another that you can't effectively use it to remove the crank. This one goes in the trash, I'll buy another one from a different manufacturer.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Repair

May not work with all bottom bracket/crankset combinations

Totally useless. The internal retraction bolt is too small to be effective. May work with some cranksets but I would NOT recommend buying an ISIS bottom bracket. The pull-bolt diameter was too small and just went through the hollow hub tube (I guess that's what you would call it) of my FSA Pro Carbon Team Issue crankset. It seemed well made enough to use on its own from time to time, but it was useless to me.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some imperfections

It's worth it for occasional use.

Looks cheap but works great! An almost impossible task became an easy one. I smoothed the tip out a bit and applied a drop of A-1 oil to the first pair of threads on both threaded moving parts. I wouldn't recommend it for a bike shop or heavy continuous use, but how often does a cyclist typically take the crank off when the weather is nice? First time I did this and it was easy, great price if not great quality.
