Description of πŸš€ Ultimate Performance Boost with LOOK X-Track Race Carbon Mountain Pedals - Black

Generally speaking, the greater the contact surface, the more efficiently energy is transferred. On the other hand, the greater the contact surface, the more the pedal will weigh. The challenge faced by their engineers was therefore, to identify the zones that are useful for energy transmission and then optimize the pedal design in order to limit any that are unused. This task allowed LOOK to engineer a pedal with the best weight / contact surface ratio on the market. Lateral contact support guides your foot in finding your pedal and provides you a point of contact even if you have not yet engaged the cleat. This wide contact area prevents your foot from sliding on the pedal body and offers consistent and reassuring support. The mechanism works regardless of external conditions (in the mud, forces are significantly different from those encountered when dry), more space allows for the shedding of various foreign matter (mud, sand). These zones give the user a constant and stable feeling of being securely clip-ped in, in all conditions. An adjustable tension screw al-lows you to fine-tune the entry/release resistance to your perso-nal skill level. SPD Compatible.

Good pedals: Sport

They work with SPD cleats and look (pun intended) better than Shimano XT/XTR on my road bike. I've eased the tension based on feedback from others and they're doing it pretty well. The triggers are polished which is a little shiny if you like it.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Short manual

Excellent SPD pedal, fits parts and components

I've owned these pedals for about six months now. During this time I drove it 1700 km. I had no problems with these pedals. Not once have they failed at anything. I bought two more pairs for my son's gravel and cyclocross bikes and he had no problems with them either. They just work.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Minor issues

Gravel pedals don't get any better.

The ultimate gravel racing pedal. Simple, light and reliable. With a little adjustment, your foot will sit firmly on the pedal and be able to get in and out quickly when needed. I've replaced all my XT and XTR pedals with LOOK carbon racing pedals, even on my fat bike. Also ideal for trail use.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great pedal to compete with Shimano XTR pedals

I found this pedal lighter and just as strong as the Shimano XTR pedals I used until I found these. In practice, you may initially find that getting in and out is a bit difficult. However, you can adjust the tension just like the XTR. In my opinion this is a great pedal and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable assistant on or off road.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Empty

Extremely fragile, not for normal rocky terrain riding

Not very strong. We got these for my daughter and her new build. The pedals at first spun like they were resisting and wouldn't spin freely and my daughter didn't like them. So I drove about 200 km. Today there was a slight impact on the pedal that broke the pedal and separated it in half. I know I hit the pedal hard, but it wasn't. More of a fleeing blow than a hard blow. The look is sown, and half the pedal is lost. The weight reduction leaves a nice looking pedal that doesn't perform well…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
