This is a good replacement for more expensive versions. I wash them and reuse them until they fall apart. I usually get 2-3 months of it. However, they need time to send.

I have a Fluval 406. As another said, it is slightly smaller by 1/16 inch. This will allow some water through. I give these 5 stars because they have good quality for filtering. If I wanted too, I could trim one of them to fill the small gap in 406. I'm not worried Water after 700 gallons of filtration is clean!

Bought these for my Fluval 306. Quality and thickness rival the Fluval brand, but they are slightly shorter than water. to the end without passing the platform. So I sacrificed one by cutting it into 3-4mm thick pieces so they end up sliding to fit the filter snugly. It doesn't really matter to me, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
