LTWHOME Foam Filters Suitable Fluval Review

I have a Fluval fx 4 canister filtration system and it didn't fit properly. They fit in the canister but the problem is there is a gap between each filter so a lot of things don't filter properly. Algae is blooming in my aquarium right now and the water is refusing to clear. I'm going back to the Fluval brand.

Rating update: These filters continue to work well for me. They appear to survive an exchange period of 6 months. There's nothing funky about them yet. They have smaller pores that Fluval had a few years ago before getting larger. I will continue to buy these. I use them for my large fx6 red-eared sliders. For the rest of the canister I use regular Fluval products without Biomax.

I have a 180 gallon aquarium with (2) FX5 canister filters, I've been buying flow pads from the pet store for years and have found them and haven't turned around ! They do their job just as well as the more expensive ones and are very happy with the CLEAR tank results. I replace them with a weekly wash every 2 weeks, maybe longer but I don't do it for the price! I hope this information is helpful, I'm just sorry I didn't find it sooner because of the price difference!

As many of you know, Fluval changed the design of the main filter a few years ago. In my opinion, this rendered the filters completely unusable. the pore size is so large that everything passes through and overloads the finer filters. I ordered these filters expecting nothing more than what I usually get but to my surprise I received the original small pore filters and couldn't be happier. It took me a while to get them, I probably didn't read carefully enough and focused on the price, but they came from China. I know eBay forces you to look for a seller from China when shipping is free. . Of course everything sucks on eBay. My FX5 seems to run slower because I changed ALL of the foam filter media in it during regular cleaning. Assuming they are non-toxic and don't clog my filter I wouldn't give them a bad rating.
