LUBE LOCKER LLR-D030 Lubelocker: Superior Sealing Solution for Optimal Lubrication Review

This is what you need when doing diff maintenance. No more fumbling and prying to remove caps or scraping and scraping silicone when it's time to change the fluid. I paired a LubeLockers Dana 35 and 30 with Dana gray hammer head cast iron diff caps to complete the axle service. I tightened the caps to 20 pounds per foot, which is plenty on these 1998 and 2000 Jeep TJ seals.

I originally bought a cheap diff gasket for my Jeep Wrangler (Omix-Ada) diff cover which was useless and started leaking right away. I bought this pad instead. Beautifully crafted and heavy weight, this is a rubber coated metal gasket. I tightened the bolts to manufacturer's specs and it worked great with no leaks. Highly recommended. Save time and nerves and buy a good seal to start with.

Not yet removed or used. My jeep's front diff doesn't have a drain so the cover has to be removed for every grease change. In the past it was very difficult to remove the entire RTV to make sure it didn't leak. This time I took extra care to ensure the surfaces were 100% clean and dry. The fit was perfect and nothing leaked. It remains to be seen how well the pad will perform when reused. So far, so good.

Fits as expected, not sure about reusability as I no longer have to change fluids. Update: I got a seal leak after a few months knowing I didn't hit the bodywork on anything as the car isn't coming off the pavement, I don't know why. I re-checked the torque of all the bolts and it was within spec so I suspect I have a failed gasket. I've had a small leak on my front diff since the dealer changed the fluid on my jeep. This time I did it myself and instead of a tube I installed one of these in the front and back. Now there is no leak and next time I replace them I won't have to scrape like that etc. It's one thing to line up the hole pattern before crawling under the jeep. Purchased Dana 44 rear and Dana 30 front grease washers for my Jeep Wrangler TJ. 44 has held up great and has now been opened and closed twice. Unfortunately the 30 leaked on initial installation and leaked again after a break-in oil change for my new gears. There is a rumor going around on the forums that Lubeloker can be more picky than other types of base when it comes to imperfect or damaged base surfaces. first off i want to say that i have been using Lube Locker gaskets faithfully on my Jeep XJ. Before this last order I never had a problem. I bought this product about 2 months ago for a project. I finally replaced the ball joints, inner axle seals and differential cover in one go. Before I put the diff cover back on, I opened the box with the Lube Locker gasket and to my surprise there was only one sticker inside. NO GASKET IN BOX.
