Not 8 AWG, closer to 10 AWG. At least that's copper, not OCO. This is ridiculous as the wire is presented here as a specific gauge and labeled as such only to find out it is a gauge or smaller which poses a serious fire hazard, not to mention performance when it comes to voltage drop . Unless they used a special specialty wire I wouldn't trust its 8 gauge spec. The insulation is 8 AWG, but the wire is 10 AWG if that's the case. Mates and crimps into 10 AWG connectors. Pulls directly out of 8 AWG terminals even when using a hydraulic crimping tool with 8 AWG crimp dies. I even tried switching to a 12 gauge chip and pressing the 8 AWG connector onto it. Still slipped out. Would definitely not recommend her. I certainly wouldn't trust them with the 40 amp fuse they come with.
