Useful for Alzheimer's sufferers

Got this for my father who has progressive dementia. Using the standard cable box remote, she would randomly press buttons, which invariably resulted in issues with system settings, incorrect video input, etc. I have this little remote control and just programmed on/off, volume and channel up/down. He still randomly presses buttons, but he usually manages to get to a channel he finds interesting. Problem solved cheaply.

Easy Programmable Remote Control

I ordered these to turn off all the TVs in the house when the kids leave them on. Using the original remote controls, I programmed four buttons into power buttons for TVs of various brands. I had to reprogram a few of them again after they seemed to remember the wrong code. This helps to program the remote control in a darkened room so that flickering ambient light (e.g. fluorescent lamps) does not interfere. The only downside is that when the lights are off it's hard to see how you're holding…

Good signal output to accessories and consumables

The buttons were a bit fiddly to program but after a few tries it worked. One of the 5 star reviews has revised programming instructions that may help. I have replaced two remote controls with this unit, HDTV tuner and TV on/off function. The output of this remote was stronger than the tuner remote and at least as powerful as the TV remote. Removed 4-5 stars but overall 4 star rating was due to unanswered question to seller. Finally it was answered by another user.

Works with Yamaha Stereo

I bought this remote control to use with my Yamaha Stereo. The original remote has dozens of buttons and I keep hitting the wrong button and putting my stereo in a weird mode. So I bought this remote control to perform some basic functions without glasses. I had to go through the learning sequence two or three times for each key, but I was up and running in minutes. Too bad this remote didn't exist a few years ago. My mother, who developed cognitive impairment in her later years, would have…

Good remote control instructions here

Does what it's supposed to. The instructions on paper are wrong how to program.1. Hold until the light turns on.2. Hold the old remote close to the chunghop rm7 and press the button you want to program on the old remote (e.g. volume up) until the rm7 light starts flashing. Now press any key on rm7 to program it to increase volume.4. Press the same button from step 3 again (I found that the single press might not be programmed, but double pressing always worked) 5. Repeat #2-4 for all the…

Does the job! About remote controls and accessories

That surprised me a bit. It's easy to program and works great. I can't find the remote for my receiver and the only other remote I have is a cymbal remote (which I used with the original remote's learning function) which I have to return as I have canceled service. I was able to easily program the volume functions and program the channel and other buttons from the TV remote. Make sure both remote controls have fresh batteries. It didn't program properly from the TV remote but I put in new…

Does exactly what I need

I have a first generation PSP connected to a mini speaker controlled by a slim RF remote. As I continue to use it as an MP3 player rather than a portable game console, my original remote control is long dead. Luckily I was able to find another set of speakers on the discontinued shelf to get a different remote control. Now that I have two docks and a remote and thought I would have a similar problem with a new remote in the future, I bought this Cuziss learning remote to keep the original…
