Another great controller from Lutron

Works exactly as advertised. I have been very impressed with the entire Lutron Caseta line of smart home products. They just work and this remote control is no exception. If you understand that it only works with one Sonos speaker (and any other speakers grouped with that speaker) this is a great way to play/pause and adjust the volume of my Sonos system. If you want to create a smart home that anyone can control, then explore the Lutron Caseta family of products.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No power

Does the job perfectly

Works exactly as described. The big problem is that it cannot control multiple zones. In particular, you cannot tell it to work with more than one zone. If two zones are already linked and the zone you want to control happens to be one of them, both will be controlled for everything except volume. It's pretty weird how it works. On the plus side, it's a really neat little control for entering a room and starting music with the Sonos. I gave it 5 stars because I think the limitations I'm talking

Works as advertised with Sonos Beam.

It only takes 10 minutes to add the Sonos Audio Pico remote and system shortcut to the Lutron Caseta app. Then create your favorite stations in the Sonos app. Mounted as a wall control, this remote gives you easy access to your music without having to call out to Alexa or search for your phone. You'll need a Pico wall mount kit to make it look like a light switch (about $6). It costs $40 if you already have a Lutron Caseta Bridge. Make sure your Lutron Caseta Bridge and Sonos system are on the…

Lutron Caseta SOLID

I have dabbled with many smart home products and Lutron Caseta products work 100% with no issues. I've replaced almost everything in my house with them, and a few Hue bulbs here and there. I wish the Caseta line had motion detectors and a few other options, but they're reliable and just work. Even though they are wireless (433Mhz to the bridge) they just work when I press the button. That's what I want it just works! Their app is really good too, a little slow to open at first, but with…

  • Very good value for money

ATTENTION - THIS REMOTE CONTROLS ONLY ONE SPEAKER (EVEN IF IN A GROUP)

The volume buttons only work with ONE dedicated speaker that the remote is connected to. So yes, if you have GROUPED multiple Sonos devices, the volume of the group will not change, only one speaker per group. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE design. Hi! I worked with Lutron on it, filed the case and sent some letters back and forth. It turns out to be AS DESIGNED. While play/pause works with all grouped speakers, volume up/down does not. In my opinion, this is the most pointless design in the history of…

Great remote but worth reading the fine print

I've just received this product and I'm very happy with it but it's worth understanding what it does and doesn't do. In combination with Sonos, the play/pause button works great on the assigned speaker (or stereo pair) when only that zone is playing. When you merge zones in your home with a paired zone, the play/pause button works in all zones combined - the favorites button works the same as the next track button. The volume buttons, on the other hand, only control the remote-paired zone, even

Love it! Easily mounts on the wall to look like another switch.

I love having this Sonos remote on my wall so I don't have to reach for the app. I have SmartThings but currently don't have a remote to control audio/Sonos over Z-Wave. I recently added a Lutron Caseta Wireless Smart Lighting Dimmer Switch (2 pack) starter kit (which is also compatible with SmartThings) for a new LED pendant light. So when I saw that there was also a Lutron Sonos remote, I was ecstatic. Although it's quite expensive. Compared to a regular Pico remote (WHY?!), I really like…

Perfect with one exception: no group volume control

This is a great remote for controlling Sonos speakers. It's easy to connect and doesn't have the connectivity issues I've had with the competing Xpress product. The only glaring issue is that hitting the play/pause button affects the entire array of Sonos speakers (which is a good thing). Pressing the next track or switching sources also affects the entire speaker array (also good). However, the volume up/down only affects one speaker in the group to which the Pico was originally assigned…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Useful for Sonos volume control, but remote design could be better

Here are 2 scenarios where this remote is really useful: (1) You or your roommate are listening to music Sonos and Your The phone rings. You want to quickly mute or reduce Sonos audio, but fiddling with your phone to access the Sonos app is inconvenient when you're already on a call. In situations like this, it really helps to get up against the wall and control your Sonos with this Caseta Pico Remote Wireless. Or (2): You are in the bathroom, showering or on the toilet and playing Sonos sound.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
