Buzzy McBuzzerson in Laptop Accessories

Wherever I plugged it in, it made a very noticeable buzz. So distracting I never bothered to set it up. Driven me and my cats crazy if left on for more than a few seconds.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Protection

Quality and technical issues

Since all ports are networked and the data transfer rates are the fastest, I gave this newcomer a try. The first impression is the packaging. It looked like it was printed on a low toner 90's bubble printer. Opened it up and the port cuts are terrible. The laser cutter, apparently tuned to something between a battleship hull and an I-beam, simply seared this thin hull with jagged, off-center and slightly warped edges for portholes. Plug it in and as others have said, you hear lots ofโ€ฆ

  • Regular price

  • Quick Start Guide

I got this as a cheaper alternative to the OWC TB3 docking station. It's good that the port selection is decent, but the good quality doesn't stop there. I had a few issues with this dock, but due to my travel and work schedule, it's not included in the return policy. First, it heats up, has its own power supply, and gets hot. Second, the TB3 connection port is very sensitive, if you accidentally touch the TB3 cable connector on the front of the dock, it goes blank momentarily, my screenโ€ฆ
