Lykke Driftwood Circular Knitting Needles Review

The attitude towards these needles is ambiguous. They are beautiful and the wood is smooth and sharp enough, but on the second project the connection came apart so much that the yarn kept snagging on it when I move the stitches. That annoys me a lot, as it's the only major downside to the otherwise very comfortable knit. What particularly annoyed me was that everyone was so excited about the pairing of these needles - either I have a needle defect or the other reviewers didn't test them…

After buying a spare set and loving it, I decided to slowly start accumulating 16" and other lengths in the smaller sizes I use. I prefer wooden knitting needles for socks and other yarns that aren't particularly "sticky". Although I thought they would click like toothpicks (seriously, the size 0 is tiny), they held up well on a pair of socks and I love that I can feel the flexibility of the wood. the sharpness is just right for my taste, handles split yarn well, the cord is nice and flexible…

Downgraded 1 star for cable stiffness - I've read many places that Lykke replacement tips fit Knitter's Pride cables and assumed both brands get their cables from the same source , but this Lykke cable is very stiff/inflexible compared to Knitter's Pride (I have a solid 16" round KP so I was able to compare side to side). At the same time, I had no problems with the connection between the needles and the cable, and I really like the knitting needles themselves. The wood is very smooth…
