Description of Maestro Acc USB RAM Media Port Adapter

Allows you to connect the factory USB port and aux input on select 2013-up Ram trucks to a new car stereo. iDatalink's ACC-USB-RAM adapter retains your USB port when you install a new radio in 2013-up Ram trucks. It includes a replacement circuit board for the Media Hub in the center console, allowing you to connect the Hub's USB port and aux input to an aftermarket radio. This iDatalink cable will not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Don't waste your money

This thing sucks. The USB port literally worked for about 5 minutes. If possible, will return it. Save money and look elsewhere

Not for 2018 Ram in Vehicle Electronics Accessories

I'm sure it's a good product but idatalink is marked as usable in a 2018 ram as is my truck which is not the case. The cable will fit, but the center console board will NOT. 2018 Ram Trucks come with 2 USB and Aux ports and URAM only has one USB and the board is too small.

Difficult to install but does not work for Apple CarPlay

This is a good solution for Apple CarPlay. Mine didn't work with CarPlay. However, it works with charging your phone and USB devices. If you don't have Apple Car Play, or want to use one, this is a solid buy to keep the factory ports. Otherwise I wouldn't have done it.

Beware! For one USB only, single aux

Through no fault of the seller this will not fit the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic if you have two USBs and one aux in your centerboard. it's not your product and the right one doesn't exist as of September 2020. If you have a USB and an Aux it will probably work. Manufacturer's website is incorrect 2013 and later is incorrect

Doesn't work with Android Auto or Apple Carplay

Seems to pass current but too much resistance or something. Every time a USB device tries to go beyond USB 1.1, the chip fails. As far as I can tell it's designed to carry long current USB and maybe some low speed devices. Any attempt to upgrade to a higher speed (USB 2.0) connection will fail. In short, this DOES NOT WORK with Android Auto or Apple Car Play. However, the mounting hardware was good. I cut the traces on the USB side of the board and essentially ran a wire connection all the way…
