Quick change 7/16-Inch hex shank for use in quick change chucks or standard chucks. self feeding screw point for faster hole starts and easier cutting. Machined on a center post for a stronger more rigid bit.

Heavy-Duty and Versatile Drill Bit

This industrial drill bit is A must-have if you work with heavy-duty materials. As my tests showed it cuts through various types of metal like butter. The size is perfect for bigger diameter holes and the length allows for deeper drilling. The magnet on the end of the bit is a great addition as it helps keep the bit in place and prevents slipping. The only con is that it can be pricey compared to other drill bits on the market. Nonetheless, the quality justifies the price. .

Used to drill holes in my lawn

I bought this drill to drill holes in my lawn to aerate small areas. This was the only tool I could find for this application. (All lawn "core bits" are filled with core.) I was amazed that this bit continued to work in the mud. Even after heavy use, it hasn't lost its ability to dig through tough dirt. The advantage of this use is that the core is not pulled out, but rather the shredded debris is pulled out of the hole, making it easier to reincorporate the pulled-out soil into the turf.
