Seems okay so far. in portable gps navigators

Easy setup. Several locations near me came preloaded. But I love the ability to save your own path and the return feature if you get lost!

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons

Good product, best for sports and portable GPS

Works as advertised. Excellent visibility when riding in the sun on my ATV. I'm still working on posting tracks because there are no instructions in the manual.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Requires socket

do not buy for road GPS

is suitable for off-road, useless for road. 1/3 of the addresses you entered cannot be found. For the price, my 10 year old GPS was much better at road usability. It would be nice if you could download android apps as it is an old android tablet that would raise its star

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Frustrated with the preloaded ATV tracks.

I bought a Magellan trx7 CS Pro for my upcoming ATV trip to Vermont. The device comes with 160,000 tracks preloaded and I was disappointed to learn that the device has no tracks in Vermont. I have returned this unit and will be using the Polaris Command app on the mini iPad.

Not much better than the old version.

I had an older TR7 and bought this as they no longer supported the companion app on the phone. I was hoping this device would be a massive improvement over the TR7 for a lot less money. I can say NO! This device is just as slow and cumbersome without the extra features I would use. Sent it back and opted for Garmin instead. I found this device to be a much more advanced GPS. Magellan abandoned this device and I haven't seen them improve or fix any of the old issues. It still doesn't have aโ€ฆ

Good for trails and exploring

I have this GPS for my jeep. I also wanted to replace an old DVR that was slowly melting in the sun. It has decent mounting hardware with a window suction cup, motorcycle handlebars, or even some screw holes in the back if you want to mount it to a UTV plate. It comes with a range of cables and adapters, although most of my tech is micro-USB at the moment. It has decent texture on the sides so it doesn't slip out of your hand like my phone does. The software takes some getting used to, but isโ€ฆ

I found this a disappointing product

I like the screen size and the ability to mark the routes you have taken for later reference unfortunately the good quality ends there. For a device that costs just under $600, the onscreen graphics are pretty mediocre. Most trails within the Forest Service are numbered trails, not named trails. Magellen's mapping system uses names, dates, and user generics instead of numbers used by the forest service. So if you're not familiar with the local pathnames, you'll have a hard time doing someโ€ฆ

Not as good as expected - Fairly disappointed

Off-road capability is good. Forget using it to navigate the streets (I give it ONE star for that feature). Map detail is pretty poor, especially when using street navigation. If you search for an address using the street navigation search function, you have a 75% chance of getting a "No results found" response. It's very handy for off-roading, but when navigating the trail it pretty much draws a green line and you follow the green line with no map detail - super easy! The Android tabletโ€ฆ
