Just what I needed for POS devices

Love it. It scans very quickly, between 2 and 4 seconds depending on the size and content of the scanned object. You must hold the scanner perfectly level as it will come out exactly as you scanned it - if you move the scanner your finished product will reflect this. I personally use it mostly for old family recipes in the original script - and that's exactly what I needed.

Excellent handheld scanner

I read many reviews before purchasing this product and I was not disappointed with my purchase. I'm more of a tech lackey and this scanner was very easy to calibrate, scan and upload images to my laptop. The quality of the scanned items is very good if you learn how to do the scanning yourself. (Any scanner is likely to have trouble with small checks as you have to put your fingernail down to hold the item in place while scanning.) The item is lightweight and fits easily in luggage for those of

Photocopy convenience and savings

The right side of everything I scan has a very light stripe going from top to bottom, making it difficult to read the text on that side of the page . I can't tell if I scanned well until I uploaded the scans, so I had to go back and get new scans or do multiple scans of the same document before leaving the archive. Battery life is short, but I make up for it with rechargeable batteries. Easy to carry - fits perfectly in a large bag. There is a compartment for extra batteries etc. The price was…

Not recommended for tutorials

I ordered this scanner to try in a tutorial and hoped it would work well, but it didn't. There was too much cropping on the sides when scanning, and there was some distortion as well. For single pages it works great, without distortion, although the contrast is high. I would recommend this for single page text documents. At the moment I am using my Canon PIXMA MG2220 color photo printer with scanner and textbook copier. It takes a bit of patience, but the scan is pretty accurate for me. I have…

OLD FAMILY PHOTOS GONE!

ATTENTION! My old family photos (some over 100 years old) were ruined by this scanner! The photographs showed light blue, almost blue markings, traces on the photographs. I scanned the photos in an old album at MED resolution at HIGH and it turned out that the light from the scanner leaked through the paper and wherever there were gaps between photos on the pages behind what I was scanning , this was generated . The photos themselves appear to have helped absorb the light and protect the pages…

I don't usually go through things that quickly, but I've had it for a day now and I love it. I'm a teacher and I ordered this because I'm tired of walking halfway across the building every time I need to scan something, which I often do. This thing scans well, seems reliable, and is easy to set up, change settings, and use. When I plugged it into my computer, the computer sees it as if it saw a flash drive, so no driver installation is required. The case that comes with it is also perfect…
