Does the job! - Filter

The power steering pump went out with a loud grinding noise and fouled the entire power steering system. I washed what I could and filled it with clean liquid and added this filter to the return line in the circuit. After driving it 20 miles I took it out and put in another new filter. The filter media was fairly clean, but the magnet was covered with small particles that were part of the pump housing from an old pump.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • unreliable

The new design is solidly built.

Although this can be used on any vehicle whether or not it has a factory canister filter, I have used it to replace the original transmission filter on my Acura TSX. Change hose length. This is a new design compared to the old plastic case. This new suitcase is ROBUST. Laser welded seams, precision machined hose fittings. Highly recommended, they will be added to the PS system soon.

So easy I forgot I installed this

. I installed a remote control transmission cooler and installed it at the same time because I happened to see it was recommended by Revain when I was looking for my remote control kit. transmission cooler. This thing was so easy to install that sometimes I forget I even installed it on the car. I installed on the transmission line under the car. I can't say it's doing anything, but it's reassuring.

Works Great - Air Filter

I used this filter on my 2002 Silverado when replacing the rack and pinion, power steering pump and radiator. The old power steering pump was filled with metal particles and the steering rack was leaking oil, so I decided to replace everything in the system. However, I wanted to make sure the new parts were free of any dirt from the factory that could be floating around and ruining my new parts, so I installed this filter with no problems, just good insurance to make sure I didn't have to do…

Good quality as far as I can tell

I'm a LITTLE concerned that it will restrict flow - although the package says it doesn't. After installation, my steering assistance decreased. It is installed with the correct flow direction and on the return line just before it returns to the reservoir so there is nothing between it and the power steering pump. After installation, I pumped the car with fresh fluid for 20 revolutions. There are no leaks or airways in the system and I don't see any signs of them. I mean. maybe the thing held up

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Looks Great - Filters

We have been using these filters on both the transmission and inline power steering filters on our minivans for the past two years. They appear to be well built, contain (in addition to the filter media) a powerful magnet (much larger than that in the transmission sump), and contain a bypass valve that opens at a relatively small pressure drop across the filter media (if present). ). in the right direction), so I'm not worried about flow restrictions at all. I have no proof of how effective…

So far so good, best in filter

I replaced the rack and pinion and decided to add a filter. It's only been installed for a week, but so far so good. I chose it for its all-metal body and reliable volume size. There is no pressure sensor on my transmission lines. If the filter is clogged, nothing tells you you have a fluid restriction (except for a few minutes when you're having trouble steering, before your pump probably fails due to clogging). I chose the size after reviews of the small ones suggested they could clog due to…

Good replacement for Honda transmission inline filter or other car add ons

I plan to cut it 10,000 miles later to check how much crap it holds and put it through the same filter substitute. I've had a bad stator clutch in the torque converter resulting in a low stall speed fouling/burning the fluid so I'm expecting 10k miles on it and then should be good for 50k, after that it seems so much better than a Honda filter and it has a magnet for each metal to protect the paper filter from getting clogged or damaged by metal debris. I think I'll put one on the power…
