Magnet is strong. I have a 200 amp setup with 25 feet of heavy hose and the magnetic stand holds my flashlight without dropping or letting go.

This great product will save you many trips to the welder to put down your torch. The magnet is huge and this thing is built like a tank.

the magnet fell out after the fourth use. I went to transfer it to another work surface and the magnet stayed in place. I didn't get a chance to use the JB weld to put it back together.

If you are a TIG welder this is a must have. I mostly weld on a steel table with a 1/4"4'x8' steel plate and this thing makes it easy to just put the torch down and not worry about it falling to the ground.

This item holds my TIG Torch securely in place but be aware that when you insert the torch head into the holder you will start an arc on the magnet base can, if attached, to the plate material earth. My TIG torch does not have an on/off switch. To prevent accidental arcing, I put a thick plastic cover over the metal top of the magnet base. See attached photo. I will buy again, I recommend.

Only used for TIG welding. Works as advertised. When I move it, I just slide it off the table, don't lift it, so I had no problem with the magnet releasing. This is great if you're not sitting upright or at a desk as it holds up great in an upright or overhead position while you have your flashlight ready. The only thing holding it back from five stars isn't the color choice. Wanted the yellow one in the picture because it matched my welder but got the black one in the mail.

Looks like I was looking for it. Heavy weight to balance torch and cable. Attached it to my welding table but when I tried to move it the heavy magnet and resin/glue holding the magnet in the metal base came loose from the metal torch mount. It's still usable, but I always expect the torch to pull the metal torch holder out of the magnet and fall to the ground. Very disappointing. I have used others that screw down the magnet to prevent this. Find one of them. Don't buy this one.
