Exact Fit = Original Equipment

Correct fit and temperature for my 1.8t Passat engine Solved my low coolant temp problem like a master and came with a new gasket. Has been working great for about 3 months now.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Almost OK

Warm again! best replacement parts

Ideal for Audi A4 B5 1.8T. Make sure you have a gallon of coolant (pentosine is the pink OEM liquid) as removing this part will drain most of your coolant. Quality feels good, looks very similar to an OEM part.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Appearance

Volkswagen Golf 2.0 MK4

Bought this for my VW after the thermostat I bought from my local auto parts store stopped working and caused my car to overheat on the motorway. That was what I needed to fix the problem and the problem is now fixed.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Safety

Worked well at first

Worked well at first, stopped working after 18 months and 8000 miles. I always test them before installing and they work fine, now they don't open in a pot of boiling water. I've never had a thermostat fail in such a short time.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Nothing here

Works but o-ring is too thick

I couldn't screw on the thermostat housing because the o-ring that came with it was too thick. The only way to get the case back was to use an old o-ring. Otherwise, the temperature sensor came up and stayed at the correct temperature of 188 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not the best

Solved my problem best in Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning

My 2001 Jetta 2.0L didn't "warm up" very quickly. It took 30 minutes for the temperature gauge on the dashboard to reach the nominal 190. I replaced the thermostat and temp gauge, flushed the coolant and now it works fine (warms up in about 5 minutes). I think the old thermostat is preventing the water from circulating properly.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • High Price

2000 VW Beetle 2.0L GLS

Replaced my old 150,000 mile thermostat which stayed open preventing the engine from reaching operating temp. This thermostat came with a gasket and it fits perfectly. My engine is now up to operating temperature when it should be. I decided to add some silicone sealant to the gasket for extra protection (the thermostat housing is plastic). The best part is that I bought it from Revain for less than $5.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • -
