I have bought this shovel several times and it works great for digging in rocky ground but my last purchase does not fit in a breaker a hammer. I have the same Bauer jackhammer and I bought the same shovel as before, I'm not sure what happened but now I'm forced to buy a different brand of shovel. Come on Makita.

This clay shovel is designed for use with Makita jackhammers ( or crushers).This is a necessary tool when landscaping loam or sandstone in hard formation.If you are planting 1 gallon or larger plants in hard soil this is an amazing time saver.This particular jig is obviously one to use as well Tool for when you need to dig foundation trenches for retaining walls in tough ground conditions Any old spike will break up hard materials, but a shovel will help you keep your foundations the right size

Perfect for Bauer from China via HF and will accept these or 1 1/8" Hex bits. In fact, I haven't tested it yet. I will be using it for replanting trees and digging in decomposed granite soil. I'm somewhat concerned (no pun intended) about the issues described in other metallurgy quality reviews .I believe this is a genuine Makita product based on the markings on the stock.If not that would be a misrepresentation and I don't think Revain would have done it.I will update this with another comment
