Amazing quality for the price

Optical technology has evolved a lot over the years. This Maksutov-Cassegrain-Sarblue telescope has amazing optical quality and costs less than a tenth of my 8" SCT that has been sitting in my closet for many years. Installation is very easy and comes with a nice guide. The telescope is on a professional table tripod, which is much stronger than the one that comes with the telescope. I also bought some Revain binoculars, which make navigation much easier. ) taken with my Samsung Note 9 using a…

Unique little Mac! - Telescopes

Normally I would ignore this product and write it off as a "toy" but decided to order it based on a long review I saw on YouTube. Wow! I'm glad I ordered it. The telescope is a great little instrument, the only downside is the small aperture, but that's what it's supposed to be. own. The telescope is great for daytime/nature viewing and does an excellent job as an astronomical tool - great if your expectations match what a comparable 60mm telescope can do. Of course, a higher mount can make it…

Exceptionally compact size, very portable, fits easily in the bottom of my regular backpack for pickups and day trips for photography and works great with my iPhone SE2 as a camera. Clear optics, clear and precise with very little aberration or other optical defects // Front lens cover is a rubber dust magnet (only one downside so far) Super cleaver door opens to look at the light path and the internal one Optics is super cool for students of all ages! The small tripod is ideal for table or…

inexpensive, portable, decent optics

This is probably the best telescope for $110. It's very light, but the optics seem to be well made and it sees really far. The date stamp on the uncropped image is upside down because I ended up flipping my phone over the telescope for better balance. This telescope was most impressive when looking at the moon and I hope to add a picture when the moon is full to show the details. This scope really requires close sight as I found the scope grips difficult to use and ended up just aiming the…

The same day I received the Mac60, I climbed onto the roof and took the photos you see in this review with my phone. Remember that most ground targets are at least 3 miles away and some are 10-20 miles away. I am amazed at the optical quality of this little gem. I've had 50-90mm refractors since childhood and they're normal, but the sharpness and lack of optical aberrations of Maksutov's design is amazing. You can push the limit and still get a decent picture. I like the box it came in. Very…

Maybe MAC! for Catadioptric

Meade and Celestron were big telescope manufacturers growing up and I still think they make great products. But to be honest, there are now also lesser-known bands that hit the ground running with a similar look at a lower price. A few years ago I had a $3,000 Celestron computer and while the picture quality was amazing, it was so much work that in two or three years I think I've used it twice. So much time was spent undressing and setting up. I'm older and more interested in small handheld…
