Good diameter, mismatched threads

Requires lots of thread tape to prevent leaks. Otherwise it would have been a five star rating. Good quality sensor, good connectors included. If the seller wants the threads to be mismatched to save money, he should let him know. I already had one of these, just added two more at different stages in my water filtration and reverse osmosis system. It's a good buy, but leaks are frustrating until you sort out the tape and mismatched threads.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No instructions

Works perfectly! for aquarium pumps and filters

Works great just remember to use a pressure valve to measure PSI before installing (in my case) a reverse osmosis water filtration system. I used two valves to get the desired PSI. First a valve, then two water keys. Open both, then use the wrench closest to you to adjust until the desired pressure is reached. After that, you can use the key furthest from you to easily open and close without worrying about adjusting the water pressure every time. Let me know guys, I can go into great detail ifโ€ฆ

Good sensor with poorly fitting adapter

Sensor seems to work as expected and looks solid. As mentioned, the supplied plastic T-piece does not meet the same quality requirements. The threaded end doesn't sit snugly on the gauge's threads - or vice versa - so there will be a lot of leaking unless you find a rubber washer small enough to fit in the adapter and wrap the gauge's threads in front of the Install with Teflon tape. Not critical but an annoying bug that can be detected during the installation process.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Use lots of tape, be tolerant of bubbles

I've wrapped pipe tape around the threads of the gauges 5-7 times and they are leaking. When I tried to tighten the pressure gauge in the included fitting to stop the leak, the fitting snapped - I bought a new one at my local hardware store for $3. Then I wrapped the threads of the gauges with pipe tape about 12-15 times and screwed the gauges into the supplied fittings less tightly - there are no leaks. Use lots of tape! Each pressure gauge is filled with liquid, but not completely. They still

Good diameter - leaking threads on plastic fitting

Size of diameter is good. Much more than small on my Rodi device. Use the usual amount of thread tape and screw into the fitting provided. Noticed water seeping around the thread after a few minutes. Doubled the amount of thread tape and reinstalled the jig. I've also noticed water seeping in after 5 minutes. Harbor Freight happens to have a set of Viton o-rings, so they put 2 o-rings (a larger one and a smaller one that fit the larger one) in the bottom of the fitting and used triple theโ€ฆ

Works great for fish and aquatic animals

Order two of these to check the water pressure before and after my softener/filter. I checked the gauges and they were within 1-2 psi of a known accurate gauge. Reviewers complained of leakage through the plug. I haven't had this problem. Overtightening the plastic connector is a common mistake most dyers make. as with EVERY connection to the water supply. over tightening will NOT stop the leak. In fact, it will make things worse and even cut the connection. Connectors such as the one suppliedโ€ฆ
