🌬️ Mann Air Filter C25 114/1 Review

I have only used Mann filters for the last seventeen years and to be honest I was surprised to read that this filter is made in China for Revain. The Revain list is inaccurate. Familiar product, packaging and box clearly indicate that it was assembled in Mexico. Easy installation.

This is the same as the OEM filter I bought from Tischer BMW for my manual transmission E46 M3 ZCP. The only thing missing is the BMW part number. They also made a modification by adding a thin layer of very large and porous foam, presumably to prevent leaves and the like from getting caught between the folds of the filter paper. be better compared to the BMW part, especially considering it's the same. 10/10, I will buy again.

Get more with this filter. has an extra layer that guarantees the purest air. The additional layer has a pre-filter consistency. hard to see in the first picture. The price doesn't bite either. If I went to o'reillys/autozone/walmart it would be about $30 for sure. Honestly one more thing about this product, I forgot to change my filter for a year and this thing was still a truckload. The foam was a little crushed from being there for so long, but damn this thing is durable.

This is not a filter sold by BMW dealers. The difference lies in the pre-filter material. The retailer filter has a 1/4" thick layer of foam over the paper folds. The filter under review has a sheet of gauze material of the same size. I don't know if one works better than the other, the main purpose of the extra material is to prevent that the paper folds get wet in case snowflakes get sucked into the airbox there is no doubt the filter in question costs about 1/3 of a dealer filter it fits…

Perfect for my 2002 BMW 325i. To my knowledge the air filter on my engine has never been changed leading me to believe that the original filter I changed was from the dealer and was most likely an OEM part. This Mann filter looked almost exactly like the filter I replaced, except of course it was much cleaner. I don't remember comparing the prices of this part here at Revain to other parts websites I usually buy from, but from my experience buying auto parts and filters it seemed cost effective

Bought this filter for a 2002 325ci. The filter has a foam layer on the bottom as per other comments, presumably for dusty environments as stated in the product description. My old filter didn't have this layer. The fit is a little tight - at first I thought it was the wrong filter. I've tried inserting it into the case without completely removing the cover. Works well. Replaced my "lifetime" K&N filter, it was dirty. Suitable for all BMW E46. Make sure you press down on the filter so it's firmly in place. Installing the air filter housing was a little tricky, I had to push it down a bit, but when I put the clips back into the bottom of the housing they clicked nice and tight, good fit.
