Mann Filter 940 25 Spin Filter Review

Exactly as advertised, just what I needed for my 2003 Audi with a 1.8t engine Extra tabs on the back for easy removal Much appreciated and it is a high quality product!

This is the correct filter for my 2002 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T. Much better than what you get at your local big box store business could buy. I always order a new one as soon as I put the last one on so I have one on the shelf when it's time for an oil change.

This is a "big" filter for VW and Audi 1.8t engines. Ridiculously large compared to others associated with a 4-cylinder engine, but if you don't that's known to be due to the reduction in sump capacity with the engine longitudinally mounted, as has been the case on many Passat versions. and a4.

Just got an Audi A4B6. The previous owner used the same Mann filter so I just took it and did the same thing. I also did a little research to find out what the difference is between Mann and OEM filters: the answer is almost none. Heck, I can't even find an OEM here. The price for it is also very good. This is the only oil filter you should use on your 2001-2004 VW Passat B-5.5. Only use high quality synthetic oil such as Castrol Edge 0W-40 or 5W-40. The easiest way to change the filter is to remove the main air intake pipe in front of the engine manifold, then you can easily reach and screw on the filter by hand.
