EXACTLY what I needed

Exactly as advertised, just what I needed for my 2003 Audi with a 1.8t engine Extra tabs on the back for easy removal Much appreciated and it is a high quality product!

Best filter you can get for VW at a great price

This is the correct filter for my 2002 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T. Much better than what you get at your local big box store business could buy. I always order a new one as soon as I put the last one on so I have one on the shelf when it's time for an oil change.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • So so

OEM Oil Filter

This is a "big" filter for VW and Audi 1.8t engines. Ridiculously large compared to others associated with a 4-cylinder engine, but if you don't that's known to be due to the reduction in sump capacity with the engine longitudinally mounted, as has been the case on many Passat versions. and a4.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some imperfections

The answer is almost nothing

Just got an Audi A4B6. The previous owner used the same Mann filter so I just took it and did the same thing. I also did a little research to find out what the difference is between Mann and OEM filters: the answer is almost none. Heck, I can't even find an OEM here. The price for it is also very good. So now I trust this filter. I hope it will hold my Audi in both thick and tight places. In case anyone is wondering, I used Liqui Moly oil as it is made in Germany.

Best Oil Filter for B5.5 Passat

This is the only oil filter you should use on your 2001-2004 VW Passat B-5.5. Only use high quality synthetic oil such as Castrol Edge 0W-40 or 5W-40. The easiest way to change the filter is to remove the main air intake pipe in front of the engine manifold, then you can easily reach and screw on the filter by hand. I recommend a 5000 mile oil/filter change interval, even with synthetic oil, as there will be excessive turbo heat and oil degradation. The large capacity of this filter helps…

Best Filter for 1.8T/2.2L I5 Turbo, Audi VW

These larger capacity filters are perfect for VW AUDI 1.8T to prevent the infamous oil sludge problem and for 2, 2L I5 Turbo to increase capacity and reduce engine temperature. I've fitted them to several cars I own and can't say anything bad about them. The only reason I'm not rating 5 stars is because I wish they would make modifications to include a check valve. The angle it sits on my A4 is impossible when taken off. I usually put a plastic bag around and under the filter to contain the…

Perfect oil filter for my AUDI A4

The Audi A4 (like most German cars) is a picky beast. It can be difficult to find the parts and fluids that older Audis need, but Amazon has done an amazing job of breaking into the auto parts and accessories space. For the last 4 years I've run my 1.8 ton car with a Mobil 1 M1-301 heavy duty oil filter but recently I've swapped it out for a Mann-Filter W 940/25 spin-on oil filter. Not only is it cheaper, Mann is Audi's along with Mahle and Bosch OEMs and offers superior internal filter…
