The first filter I received was dented around the gasket so I contacted Amazon and they were great and sent a replacement straight away. A replacement filter came, but it was also dented. I tried to install it because I needed my vehicle but it's leaking around the seal. I ended up going to an auto parts store and spending more money but got a quality filter that worked.

Very disappointed. This filter began to leak from the seam. Not around the inlet or outlet or at the top of the sensor inlet. The top was completely dry. However, there was a puddle of diesel oil in the filter holder and under the filter. The stitching that attaches the top of the canister to the side appears to have come undone. I bought a competitor's filter and it's bone dry.

Finding quality filters for our MB / Sprinter View Bus is not easy. It's great to be able to order them from Revain! These are quality filters but I had to return them as Revain does not provide correct fit information. The filter they recommended was definitely wrong, so I ordered an alternative filter and it was still wrong. Hope Revane is updating a 'German' quality fuel filter setup for a 2010 to mid 2012 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3.0 liter turbo diesel engine so I can order a matching pair.

I think the price is right. I was surprised that the filter element was painted black - the original, genuine element has an unpainted metal finish as shown in the photos. Another disturbing "feature" of this (fake?) item is that the water sensor bracket has been twisted to prevent the water sensor from seating properly and therefore the screw holes have been misaligned. I had to adjust the metal tabs with pliers to get the sensor in place with the screw holes aligned.

filter is an exact match to OEM fuel filter. The water sensor is easy to install using small hex head screws and the included o-rings (unscrew, rotate 30 degrees, then lift slightly to remove). You will need a 5mm Allen key to loosen the filter clamp. The part number on the filter matches the window cutout on the filter holder perfectly, so you know it's positioned correctly before you block the filter. My filter didn't have a socket/grommet around it and it fit into the clamp with no problem…
