This is a real automatic installation for the 2017 Ford Escape Titanium. I was told they didn't do it for me because of the auto trunk release feature. It's the only thing they do for him that doesn't involve cutting wires. This product is highly recommended!

I managed to install everything myself. I ran a power wire to an unused fuse in the trunk fuse box. I still don't understand why the manufacturer would object to connecting the power supply cable to the additional fuse panel on the back of the 2018 Ford Escape Titanium! It has constant power! I don't know if I just got a lemon or if it's their design, but there is a PIN or pin on one side of the trailer connector that turns ON when the TAILLIGHTS are on. See accompanying photos.
