Very pretty. Good quality.

Beautiful. I bought a blanket. The flowers are black with plum and white. The background is dark grey. Soft, nice thickness. Washes very well, color does not fade.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Color not suitable for duvet covers and sets

Was hoping for black, plum, gray as the description says. It looks more like black with a brown background. I already have the light blue set and love it but this one is disappointing.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Good but NOT black in duvet covers and sets

I like the way they look. But they are definitely not black and white flowers. I have a black dusty ruffle and pillowcases and it's clear that this comforter looks more like a navy blue flower with a white center and plum accents. And a beige background. But I recommend it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Infinitely saggy

Looks great but needs a few washes to soften up

Marimekko makes great prints. This comforter took several washes before becoming soft. Not too keen on how they moved the buttonhole at the bottom to move it down a bit as it's a bit difficult to tuck my duvet in.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Protection

Beware, colors fade with washing

After washing I noticed that the colors had faded and messed up the design, making the highlights look blotchy. Unfortunately, I waited too long before using it, so the return window has closed. I still use it because you can't see it from a distance but when I see it up close I'm very disappointed because the pattern would be so pretty.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Quick guide

Dye faded in the wash

After the first wash (in cold water) I noticed the colors were fading and ruining the design, staining the light areas with magenta dye. Unfortunately, since I only ordered it before the pandemic and it was intended for a guest room, I waited too long to use it, so the return window has closed. Raven did nothing. I will try to contact the manufacturer. We didn't have this problem with the previously ordered red one.

Pros
  • As always
Cons
  • Easy repairability

beautiful blanket

This is exactly what I wanted. I was hesitant because it's a little pricey but worth it to get exactly what you want. The blanket is well made and overall of good quality. It's hard to find 100% cotton, most blankets are polyester or microfiber (which I hate) and it's a thick, soft cotton material. Pretty warm alone with sheets. I had concerns about the color. It looks purple to me, but I've seen descriptions as gray to brown on various websites. Personally the color is definitely a very darkโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Approximately

The timeless Marimekko pattern is still beautiful!

I've always loved Marimekko patterns and after 20 years, when our IKEA blanket was finally ready for retirement, I immediately decided to finally buy a Marimekko blanket. I bought a duvet set instead since it was only $10 more and I think it was the right way to go. When it arrived it looked even better than expected! My daughter loved it so much I ordered her one too (in a different style than Marimekko)! We live in Hawaii so we don't want it to be too hot (which our duvet was) and this duvetโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Freehand work
Cons
  • Very expensive
