Great pico tank for Marimo!

I bought this .9 gallon tank because I wanted a tiny glass tank for marimo, sand and a piece of soft fan coral. It does exactly that. I didn't think I would use the included LED light, it's quite poorly constructed but if you're careful you can mount it on the side of the tank but I use it over my glass table. 1/2" frosted glass which gives the tank a diffused glow without overwhelming it with light (Marimos likes indirect light and not strong). All the seals on the tank are great, the lid fits

Pros
  • Nice job
Cons
  • Some trouble

Missing parts and leaks

I did not like that I received the product without the LED light and cover. I'll make a case and find a lamp for it because UPS is too far away to send it back cheaply. The $1.02 I got back for the missing parts wouldn't even go towards buying cover material, but from what some have written in their reviews I probably should have made a new one anyway. The only positive thing I can say about this item is that the glass tank looks well made. Edited on 09/02/2018. Today I tried to put the tank up

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

READ THIS REVIEW! on Fish & Aquatic Pets

First off let me say that you should keep your bettas at least 2.5 gallons, secondly they need a heater and filter which they say is a mini have filters on eBay for $2 even less than the one I currently have in the tank. I bought this tank because I caught a fish that has pretty serious swim bladder problems and needs less water but is still having a good life so I won't be putting him down. There is a 7.5 watt heater (hydroelectric) that works well, it goes under the gravel and I bought a…

Be careful what you put in it.

I use this tank to grow aquarium grass and use it as a quarantine tank. THIS SHOULD NOT HOLD ADULT BETTA. We see cruelty in pet shops, where animals are kept in small cages with many of their own kind, and males in tiny cute cups, but that doesn't mean they're meant to live that way all their lives. They put them in little cups because they sell fast like takeout and most of the animals are babies or sell fast too. People have a misconception that this is the norm for these animals. Bettas…

Elegant rimless glass tank with LED light

Advantages: - Very elegant rimless glass tank. Trust me it looks damn cool - it takes up little space and looks really nice on a table - pretty well thought out: covers a lot of the edge to prevent jumpers from flying out, has a center hole big enough is for light to come through and for feeding the fish and also has a small gap in the back to allow for the fitting of lights, heating cables etc. Cons: Standard LED is weak. It works if you just want it to shine on your betta, but it's not good…

THIS REVIEW WAS WRITTEN TO SAVE BETTAM'S LIFE

This aquarium is beautiful and I think there is enough room for roosters. I've had cocks most of my life, I currently have 55 cocks and all but one are in 2.5 and 2 gallon tanks (specs). These bettas stay at the front of the tank and rarely explore their larger tanks. For my 5th and 6th Bettas I chose a cube and found that they are more active and enjoy swimming around the cube. Unfortunately my sixth rooster died today because he jumped out of the middle hatch hole. Dice I just want to warn…
