Better than Tetra: Aquarium Heater and Cooler

I've had so many Tetra heaters that ended up in an early grave that I actively hate Tetra. Aqueon disappointed too. It's been like this for 6 months and the heating hasn't died yet! I hope.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine

Not bad. I've had mine for a few years now. I even took it out of the tank and it sat in the shed for a year and now I put it back in and it's still working. I'm surprised at the durability after being in the barn. The adjustment is tight, which is nice so it doesn't crawl around without you knowing, but it does require both hands to ensure the glass doesn't come loose when adjusting.

Pros
  • Everyone likes it so far
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Evil Angels. The best in the aquarium Heater and cooler

Apparently my angels were not happy with my old heater Marina all winter and banged it against the glass, breaking the bottom off. I noticed that it probably broke after a few days and took it off. I was thrilled that the broken jetty heater didn't electrocute my fish regardless of misbehaving. Adding this replacement and inexpensive dock heater to the aquarium was quick and easy, already set at the optimum temperature. There is a protective rubber bumper at the end to prevent evil angels fromโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are defects

I am using this product in my 29 gallon tank. I figured that would be enough as this 150 watt model is advertised as suitable for aquariums up to 40 gallons. The temperature control on this heater is not very accurate so I set the temperature control as high as possible. (well over 80 degrees Fahrenheit). But even with the knob turned to maximum, my 29-gallon tank doesn't even get to 79 degrees Fahrenheit. The water temperature in my aquarium stays around 76 degrees Fahrenheit even with thisโ€ฆ
