This pump runs very well on batteries but they don't last a whole weekend and the bait always dies. However, this unit included a 12v plug and now I can plug it into the boat's 12v input and have all the rods continuously aerated. The small aerator ball is suitable for a small bait bucket that only holds a few baits. I upgraded to a large aerator and used an ice box as bait.

I had mine for 3 days, I used it once. Wanted to use it again and the engine stalled. They will not replace it at the factory because it was not sold by them. The best they could do was ask me to send it to them for repair and also send $11 for shipping back. I found the best tool for this - a trash can. I won't buy anything from them again. Sell on Revain is a good seller and has nothing to do with it. There was a 100% silent bubble!

These things definitely work but they don't last long in a marine environment. I might use them more than usual, but I need them to handle a lot of baits and a lot of times a night. I use 12v and AC adapters as the batteries don't last very long. I try to rinse with fresh water after each use, but eventually they get rusty and don't work. Now they get thrown out about every 3-4 months and I buy a new one. At least they aren't too expensive. I'm always looking for the best replacement.

I bought this pump to replace an Engel pump that needs to clean the diaphragm every few months or it will stop producing bubbles. I also found Engel very loud. Well these hush bubbles are built like a tank and love to smoke. However, the thing is LOUD. Much louder than what I replaced. Although the aerator pumps a lot of air into the minnow bucket, it is VERY loud. The noise can be heard at least 15 to 20 feet away. So if your radio isn't on or your outboard motor isn't running, this device will bother you. This is a great product and price from Revain. I looked at the "D" battery version and the 12v alligator clip version before coming across this one that works with both. I feel like the days of paying big bucks to throw batteries in the landfill are over. Do yourself a favor and buy a "USB-DC Connector" and a USB rechargeable battery.
