Dries Rock Hard Fits Braking System

I used this stuff to stop a leak when water was coming into my basement through a foundation ditch for my city water supply. Whenever we had a lot of rain (several days in a row) water would seep into the basement around the penetration. I waited until the area was nice and dry and applied Marine-Tex. My only warning is that two ounces doesn't contain a lot of product. Sentence. I ended up buying three sets to complete the work. I suggest buying a bigger set if you have a big job.

Worked exactly as I needed it

After reading some online forums about GM pickup transfer case failures, one of them mentioned this product. I decided to take a picture and try to fix a leak in the back of the transfer case in my truck. I followed the directions, let the epoxy dry for a few days, and then tested the truck. There are no signs of leaks, it has gone through two thermal cycles and of course is holding up normally. Now I can drive my truck again without constantly filling up the transfer case.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Some minor things

Works when everyone else isn't working

I have 3 Ford F-350 diesels with a 7.3 IH engine. All 3 have rusty holes in the oil pan. A major design flaw common to all who work in the salt rust zone. To replace the pallet, you need to remove the motor. Big job that costs $1,800 a car. I've tried JBB Weld and many other adhesives with no success. The combination of heat, vibration and a complex foundation resulted in repeated failures, leading to increased leaks. Finally read the reviews here and decided to try this product. Theโ€ฆ

FIXED MY ALUMINUM BOAT

Hardens like steel. I was repairing an old patch, I had to use a disc sander to re-sand the old patch. I turned my boat upside down to keep Marine Tex from walking. . Cured in 4 hours. It turns black, which suits me since it's on the bottom of the boat. Went fishing, not a single leak. I always have it handy as I fish about 3 times a week; and it works. I tried JB Welder which only works sometimes. .For me this is the only one for serious leaks.Chuck

Pros
  • Provides a waterproof repair that can be used with fiberglass tape or cloth to cover holes and reinforce structural repairs where needed

Cures well but is difficult to mix

. Revain quickly took care of the return and sent a replacement which was fine. Difficult to mix properly. A 5:1 volume ratio of paste to hardener is required. The paste is a sticky, gooey mass that's difficult to scoop out of a small plastic jar. The hardener is an amber liquid that pours fairly easily. I decided to mix the whole set but still wasn't sure if I got the proportions right as I couldn't get all of the paste out of the jar. The ratio must not be more than 10%. Turns out I was close

Pros
  • Emergency repairs and overhauls to machinery and equipment, hulls, decks, removed fasteners, piping and tanks are easily accomplished with the powerful Repair Kit

Today I bought my second set

The first one was 14 months ago for 8 overhaul scratches on jetski body, after 14 months it's holding up quite well, bear in mind this is underwater use, later i used it on a GRP boat hull, underwater again. I am happy with this underwater application but I have found that you need to prepare the area really well, make sure it is sanded clean and dry before applying and it takes 3 days to cure - board has been used every other day and the material was coming off but I still give it 5 starsโ€ฆ
