Short lifespan - fish and aquatic animals

This product worked well, with fairly good temperature accuracy, but it only lasted 7 months before it stopped heating.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far so good, though.

So far so good I noticed that the temps accuracy is not that good. I set it to 86 so the 36 gallon tank would hit 80-82 in a 70 degree room. A little annoying.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • High price

As long as they work well. Maintains temperature after installation.

Seems to be holding the set temperature for now. We'll see how long they last as reviews say they don't last, but the lifetime warranty is a plus. I can't say the temperature is as marked on the heater, but once installed the temperature seems to be holding.

Temperature not accurate at all

Bought about 2-3 months ago. A heater would have been nice at first. Now I've set the temp to 80 and will get to 86. So that's pretty inaccurate. The problem is that the Revain bot gives me my refund back, all they can do is replace it with the exact same item I no longer need, any Marineland parts. I've had problems with this manufacturer before. I had a cracked 75 gallon tank, a 75 gallon canister filter was leaking all over my living room after just 3 weeks, and now this heater. These items…

Works great with aquarium heaters

I was hesitant to buy this because there were several reviews stating the heater overheated the water and 'cooked' the fish. However, most reviews say that this is an excellent heater. After using it for a few days, I agree with the last reviews. It keeps a stable temperature and does exactly what it's supposed to do. I love that you can set a specific temperature with either the dial on top or the red line on the side. This is very useful when the heater is in the water and you can't easily…

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

(Updated 8/5/2022. Still works.) Great little heater, works well. No problem with overheating, keeps temperature within 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Set at 76, actual temp 74.6, not too bad. . Using a heater to preheat 20 gallons of reverse osmosis houseplant water from a 50 degree Celsius source. I turned off the RAISE, a "SNAP DISC thermal switch" that cuts power to the heater at 80f, just cheap protection. I don't know why you fishermen don't use a temperature controller or temperature switch in…
