🚲 6ft Long Keyed Bike Lock - Master Lock Cable Lock (8155D) Review

Overall a good cable/lock solution. The problem is the lock which just broke (no longer opens) after only 1 month of roughly daily use.

Good strong lock and cable. I don't kid myself that a determined thief can cut it, but it bypasses the casual thief. I use it to tie my bike to the rack when having a beer after a long ride.

The toggle switch does not like to turn, when it was first opened it tried to open it and the key broke off in the lock. Cheap keys and difficult to unlock. All I had to do was buy a cord with two loops and a better lock.

Well I want to start by saying that initially I liked this lock. Although it's a little bulky and difficult to use, I felt it was safe. My bike (which was locked with this lock) was stolen from my porch. Do I still have both keys? Very sad and very disappointed.

Has worked great 20-30 times in 6 months. Then she wanted to open it, but the key wouldn't turn. I almost ended up with my hitch attached to the trailer with a VERY strong cable. Tried to lubricate the lock to no avail. About 10 minutes to move the key and it finally opened. Might ruin my day. Now in the trash.

I used this every day and the rain and cold made it a little harder to get the key in the keyhole and one of the keys broke on the inside because the keys were easy to bend. edit: Adding that it could have lasted longer for me if I'd had the idea of using some sort of lube when the key gets difficult to turn.
