Better than my electronics!

I have an electronic spike detector I bought for $20 that is practically useless so I bought this one. That's great! You can actually find nails in stilettos with incredible accuracy! At one point I thought it was weaker or the drywall was thicker, but then I realized I was using it wrong. crazy! I will never use electronic spike finders again!

Works perfectly! on Stud Finder

This product is very easy to use. I don't usually worry about spike finders. Fingertips and measurements of sockets and switches work perfectly. But this tool finds a fastener and, if desired, removes a piece of drywall, allows you to unscrew it and replace it with the same pry bar. You can also quickly and easily find knobs for attaching the top edge when manufacturing skirting boards so that the material is pressed against the wall.

You don't need a fancy spike finder.

These are great. I needed a spike finder to hang a TV in my garage. I didn't want to pay for an electronic spike finder and after some research I found that most people offer a powerful magnet anyway. These sturdy items come with a lid so you can toss them in your bag or toolbox and have small holes for hanging your plum bean. I bought two so I could mark both holes at once. Highly recommended for €16.

One of my favorite finds of all time!

I wish I had known about this item many years ago. You can use it to find the exact location of a hidden fastener. I used it to find the fasteners that hold old kitchen cabinets in place. You can find out where the dead center of a screw is, tap on paint and putty with a Phillips head, and smoke like hell. Here's your screw! i love this shop It's better than a spike finder. Just drive along the wall and you will feel resistance as you pass the drywall screw. Easy as pie AND NEVER NEED…

Best suited to smooth walls

Originally this magnet was used on smooth walls and it worked like a charm. Easier and more accurate than my electronic finger bolt. The magnet was held against the wall and there was no doubt that you had found a nail. Now I have walls with a slightly embossed texture and it doesn't just slide down the wall right into the material. It takes a little longer to find a hairpin and the magnet doesn't give the instant results I'm used to so it's not a game changer anymore but still a great tool for

Well worth buying for accuracy and ease of use

This is a much more accurate way of locating nails than a traditional electronic nail finder. The magnet finds nail heads under paint and is strong enough to stay on the wall. While I get tape to mark the cleats, I'm a professional AV installer and use this cleat finder every day. I definitely don't want to miss it! I never change batteries, of course, which is a plus. I've found that the electronic stud finders aren't accurate as they indicate when you have a double layer of drywall, so this…

Weak magnet for product size and weight

It's heavy and feels solid and magnets stick to drywall screws, not strong but acceptable. As with any magnetic stud finder, there are additional steps required to confirm the center of the stud. The main problem and the reason for the deduction of 3 valuable stars is that the magnets are TOO WEAK to hold the nail finder itself on the wall, so it can stay in place while marking nail positions or other things. The black and yellow product sticks to the wall and stays in place every time. It also
