Magnet designed to hold on contact with flat, smooth ferrous steel, without a layer of material between magnet and steel not to other magnets. Minimum recommended length for magnet is 1-1/3". Indoor/outdoor adhesive is pressure-activated, permanent, acrylic type, covered by peel-off liner with initial tack and minimum of 24 hour cure time requirement. Adhesive bonds to clean, smooth and uniform surfaces made of paper, wood, stainless steel, painted steel, aluminum, glass, and rigid plastics. For best results see full product description. Poor adhesion and magnetic strength

Bought this magnetic tape to put labels on a model of a custom ink storage rack. I cut small labels out of the magnetic HVAC vent covers so they are magnetic too. The adhesive on this tape is very weak and the "twisting" of the spiral magnetic roll is stronger, causing the ends to lift/separate. I replaced the tape with something stronger, clamped for a couple of weeks and now it's holding up normally. The magnetic attraction of this band is weak. Luckily my labels are small and magnetic so…

Glue is useless

The magnetic strength of this tape is not inferior to other magnetic tapes; or the strongest, but exactly in line with what I expected. The reason for 2 stars instead of 4 or 5 is because of one thing: glue. The stickiness is terrible! I used them to attach plastic baffles to a metal toolbox where they had to lay flat so the glue didn't have to carry any weight. I unpacked it and let it sit for over a week, sanded the plastic with fine sandpaper, cleaned with rubbing alcohol, attached magnetic…

Good choice for Metro style metal shelving with label printer

In my utility room I have 100 or more hefty plastic containers stored on Metro style metal shelving with chrome wire. I wanted to mark the metal shelves to draw attention to the trash can clusters. I used this magnetic strip with a Brother p-touch sticker maker with 3/4 inch black tape on a yellow background. - Cross the sides of the shelf, not a hard metal surface. The strip is magnetic enough to hold the strip in place. The strip fits perfectly on the sides of the shelf. The white vinyl…
