I used this camera on my 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 which did not come with a factory rear view camera. The wire is wound well and installation is easy. The only installation recommendation I can give is to drill a hole in the center of the underside of the tailgate, drill a 3/4 hole, thread some wire through and use a rubber grommet to keep the moisture out. First of all this is quite a unique product. I haven't found many tailgate handle cam options for the 2005 Silverado 2500HD. I bought this to match my 2008 Silverado and the tailgate frame fits perfectly and looks great. It actually looks like an OEM product. This product is a great idea and would be a really great product if the developers hadn't made two mistakes. First, as other reviewers point out, the fit isn't great.
