I bought this to match my te-37 bronze volkswagen and it is very close to them to make me happy. I've noticed that the quality of the material is half that of the same run of 1080 brushed carbon fiber and hot rod red vinyl I've bought in the past. This one doesn't heat up and doesn't expand as much before breaking (unlike the two above).

3M 2080 is my choice for vinyl after trying several other brands. It's easy to apply, very gentle and looks great. I usually go for glossy, but this matte slate blue metallic was requested by my cousin for a project I did for her. I wouldn't have picked it myself, but it turned out to be handsome, discreet, stylish, and with just the right amount of sparkle. A really good choice if you like blue.

I used this to convert a brass socket in the floor to a bronze socket. Due to some of the intricate details on the exit caps, I used my knife to make the cuts. Easy to cut. When working with any details, you need patience. It was easy to place, heat up and remove air bubbles. I know I have a brushed metal bronze floor socket that goes well with my floor and other oiled bronze metals in my kitchen. It goes well together.
