I love this product! I have been struggling with product build up for months and this product has not only left my scalp feeling great but also my hair. Based on 3c/4a hair texture, this is a must have when trying to detox. If you're a natural beauty who doesn't like strong scents in your products, I have to say stay away!

I wouldn't say the smell is from the ingredients as the shampoo scent is VERY strong and perfume is not a dark shampoo if you expect charcoal to make the product dark grey, it's not - it has a hint of charcoal - as it's not entirely transparent, but I doubt it's enough to do anything - ended up throwing it away, basically couldn't stand the smell (which lingers heavily in your hair of course

I have VERY oily hair that at midday can look like I haven't washed it in days. I was looking for sulfate and paraben free shampoos. I stumbled across this after my mom had used a few other Maui moisturizing shampoos and loved them. This shampoo makes my hair look so clean and shiny! My mom has thick curly hair and tried it on her "detox day" too and she loved it too! Needless to say, this is a great shampoo!

I was hesitant in choosing this shampoo, read the reviews and thought the price was reasonable, so why not? It really removes any residue left in your hair - My hair smelled great and made it soft! I personally needed air conditioning, and I felt in the shower that I desperately needed air conditioning. I just ordered a Maui air conditioner! I will buy this product again.

I don't say this lightly, this is the best shampoo I have ever used. I've been using it for several years now and can't be compared to anything, even expensive brands. Doesn't weigh hair down and makes it so shiny. It lathers well and I love that the first ingredient is aloe so I feel like I'm paying for the real thing and not just water. I highly recommend!
