💨 Max Burton 12 Volt Turbo Fan: Powerful Variable Speed Cooling Solution! Review

The fan is very well built, although the 12V connection is a bit weak. I can foresee that if you connect and disconnect one at a time it will break easily. I use it on a Kubota BX1880 as well as my Craftsman DGS6500 and it works great, definitely keeps it cooler than no fan at all. It's not as loud as people make it out to be, but then again, my tractor engines are loud, so mowing is a noisy ordeal anyway.

The fan is excellent - it makes a little noise, but there is a lot of air. The clip is very strong. The speed controller handles the noise well. The mounts and adjustments are inadequate - they won't stay in place and will fail if forced. As soon as I started the engine, both grilles popped out and the brackets fell off. I put them on and they slipped off; I shared two of them. I glued the gratings and eliminated unnecessary joints; now i'm happy with it.

I've read the reviews and a lot of people are saying this thing is loud. I figured as long as it moves a lot of air I don't care how loud it is. I mean, how loud can it be, right? Well, it's not just loud, it's LOUD! How insanely loud! Loudest fan I've ever heard. It moves a lot of air, but it seems very directional, you want it to be aimed straight at you. If it's aimed at your head, your body won't get any air. Did I mention it's very noisy? Oh, one more thing, it's LOUD!

Bought for drag racing. It was easy to mount it on the dash and plug the cigarette lighter plug straight into my 12v system so I can still control the fan speed with the wheel. It's very loud, which doesn't matter in a race car, and blows out a lot more air than other fans I've used. I love that the fan doesn't turn off with hard starting bumps, and the adjustable fins allow me to point it directly at my face to keep my glasses from fogging up on cold, wet nights.

I work as a postal worker and in the summer I use extra fans to cool me down as we don't have air conditioning. I bought another fan and it worked much better than this one. I thought I'd give this a try and I'm just not that happy with it. The airflow is not so good with it. I'll go back to the original I bought if I need another. To edit. I bought another one of these and the fan ran slower and stopped working altogether after 2 hours. I check the power supply and it's ok.

This is the SECOND fan I have bought. The exact model replaced the last one which lasted 2 years. BUT. Same error on BOTH. I use this 8 hours a day, 5 days a week in my van (no AC, crappy defrost). A bit noisy when turned on, the main issue is that you can hear it whining when it's barely on, so I just turn it on and hear it spinning instead of whining. The clamp is strong and very manoeuvrable at many angles to make it work. I bought another retail fan for the same price and it only has one speed but it does fluctuate so each has their own advantages that I use in my setup.
