Cuts an exact size hole. It is cheaper than other hole saws. Burns at a reasonable feed rate. Some difficulty removing the plug. Now dead and "NO LONGER AVAILABLE". Three suggestions why.

Pros
  • ✔️ CUTTERS: M42 cobalt HSS welded with alloy steel/HCS steel for heavy duty cutting

Unfortunately the center guide cutter was not centered at all

I had to send these back. The center pilot jet was not centered on the saw at all. If you look closely, it wasn't the pilot's fault, but the fact that the thread on the saw was not cut in the middle. So, as I said, the center pilot jet is not in the center of the saw at all. Inappropriate in this way.

Pros
  • ✔️ APPLICATIONS: Cutting stainless steel tubing and other materials, wood with nails, hardwood floors, plywood and plastic

Works great but product info should say it has a 1/2 " shank

The product information does not indicate that the shank is 1/2". Most lightweight Drill bits have 3/8" plugs. Mine too. When the hole saw arrived I couldn't use it and wanted to return it and just buy a hole saw at a local hardware store. Unfortunately I got a 1-3 hole saw /8", I had to buy a set for $84. Rather than buying something I didn't need, I decided to buy a 1/2" hole punch for $99. (Well, I didn't need that either, but a new one is a lot more fun than a dozen crowns.) So I used this…

Pros
  • ✔️ CUTTING EDGE: 4/6 variable length teeth;? Depth of cut up to 1-1/2" (38mm) and 1- 7/8"". (47mm); Diameter 9/16 to 8-17/64" (14-210 mm)
