Good discs on blanks

Received quickly. I recorded about six discs at a time and had no problems. I've been using Maxell for a while and they always work for me.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Exchange availability

good option for printing "accessories and consumables "

I recommend you leave the DVD for a minute depending on the printer you use. I've found that on hot, sticky days, the ink takes maybe a minute to work hard on the surface. I only had one DVD error that I tested. I usually check before I give them out to avoid problems. It's way better than labels. I'm glad I bought my printer that can print DVD cases and these Maxell DVDs. Much better presentation.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • poorly thought out

An extremely TOXIC smell now emanates from these discs

These discs have ALWAYS been extremely reliable and this has been coming back for many years. MAXELL recently changed the chemical composition of the discs and they smell very toxic. If you work in a small office or room, provide adequate ventilation. Otherwise, you'll get sick or feel sick, and pretty quickly. I hope they return to their previous NON-TOXIC formulation, but I suspect this is the result of switching to a cheaper factory with an acceptable DEFECT rate (around 5-7% currently).

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Good price

I tried to use the burn to DVD feature on my Samsung VCR/DVD but couldn't get the unit to recognize any discs. When troubleshooting, it was assumed that the Maxell brand had the best chance of success. It didn't work for me, but don't blame the discs. Most likely they are perfect and the problem is in my car. Haven't had a chance to use them elsewhere but don't expect any problems. In my experience, this is a reliable brand.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Only available in black

Reliable DVD Media for DVD-Video Projects

Most DVD-Video makers know that Maxell DVD-R discs are far more reliable (and compatible) with a wide variety of DVD players, old and new. I thought Maxell had stopped making DVD media but was glad to find them on amazon.com. They are printable and hold ink very well when printed on the Primera Bravo II disk printer. I can't remember ever having a "failed" Maxell DVD-R. This is of course archived DVD media (I recommend MAM-A for this) but I bet it will work in 90% of DVD players. What can't be…

Pros
  • Great Product
Cons
  • So Far, So Good
