Works great.: Parts

Replaced the C pillars on my 2007 Corvette coupe because the sunroof kept hitting my head. After much research I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. They work great and the bottom unscrews so you can reuse the "dust boot" that came with the OEM racks.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Doubtful

Very good product, best dampers, struts and suspension

These hatch lifts work great. It opens very easily with little effort. It takes a little force to close the lid, but not too bad. I think everyone will be happy with this product, shipping was fast and the price was very reasonable. The connections for the heated rear window are included in the carrier kit.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • So so

High quality rack in spare parts

A year ago I replaced the originals with another "top" brand. With minimal effort I had to do it again this year when they failed completely. This year I went with Maxpow - the same brand I replaced the hood struts with and they work great. Their installation was very easy compared to the previous brand and this "pop-up" hatch has power. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Little things

Great replacement at a great price

The instructions were confusing as they cover multiple uses in the car. I just looked at the existing spacers and copied them. Very easy to install. The lifting effect is strong. If you have a C6, you may need to lower the sunroof a lot to get the car closer to the engagement. Save the rubber dust cover as you can cut it off and reuse it on new stands. Less than half the initial equipment cost!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Useless features

The strut broke when I used the defroster - the car almost caught fire.

Bought the hood and sunroof pillars in September 2017. They worked fine until I turned on the rear heater a month ago. After driving about 5 miles I smelled melted plastic and something burning. Then I heard a crack. I stopped quickly and wondered what had happened. It turned out that for some reason the lower defrost connector had overheated and melted the lower connector to the point where it had separated from the ball joint. The bang was the impact of the rack on the floor of the trunk. It…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Unfashionable
