The complex is good for electrics

It should be easy to use but just not user friendly, I couldn't get it to read most wires and no matter how close I was to a live wire either read or not

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • not reliable

Great product for testers

I really needed something to make sure I wouldn't get electrocuted when working on the electrical wiring in my house. It worked like a charm. I tested it on my power strip first. I didn't even have to get close before he gave me the signal. Good product.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Weight

Good for the price

Good compact tester in a nice little case. The contactless function works quite well. The accuracy of the voltmeter is about 95% on AC and about the same on DC from a battery. However, rectified DC is all over the map. The meter appears to be mired in voltage ripples.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Functionality

Excellent non-contact tester, good basic multimeter

This is not a complete replacement for a multimeter but I wasn't expecting it at this price point. Plug the wires into the connectors below and you have a fairly accurate multimeter with the basic functions you need. I found it funny that the wands were an inverted color on the inside (as opposed to the actual color of the rest of the wand) when you removed the tips. I've shown a few things with the multimeter mode in my drawings, such as checking for continuity and measuring voltage. The…

Easy to use compact meter

This meter comes in a zipped hard case that contains the meter and test leads. The promotional photos show neither the case nor the cables. The counter requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). The battery cover is held in place by tabs on one end and a single Phillips head screw on the other end. There are only two controls - an on/off button and a second button that controls the flashlight and adjusts the "sensitivity". The documentation is short but includes illustrations showing how to use…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
