I installed a new US standard toilet that came with a slow closing seat/lid. It was a plastic seat with plastic hinges. HORRIBLE! When I was growing up all toilet seats had chrome hinges and coated wood seats that NEVER came off. Why on earth did manufacturers put plastic hinges on their products? Perfect fit I bought this to replace the Kohler seat that came with our new chair height toilet ( this seat was sooooo uncomfortable) and since we have used this brand before I gave it a try.
