This product looks great. It was easy to install. This is where the good ends. We wanted oiled bronze hinges to match the rest of the bathroom fixtures. The seat lasted 4 months. Almost immediately the hinges began to rust. Why not use other materials or coatings when you know that this product will at least be in the vicinity of moisture and will likely be directly exposed to moisture at least occasionally? Then the hinge was pulled out of the pressed lid. Not worth the money. It's a shame…

Poor evaluation due to production-related quality control. During manufacture, the coating/paint treatment applied to the hinges flowed into the threaded hole where the mounting screw must be inserted. This excess hard coating in this hole covered the threads and made it impossible to insert the screw and therefore not install the seat without the significant investment of time drilling the hole with a set of taps which not everyone will have on hand. 1 more trip to the hardware store and extra

The seat cover I received differs slightly from what is shown in the photo - it is perfectly smooth (very shiny) with no "beveled" edges. Given the popularity of oil coated bronze hardware for bathroom accessories, I don't understand why it's almost impossible to find a toilet seat with the same dark hardware! This one comes as close as I can find. Yes, the hinges are a bit lighter than I'd like, but they're very high quality, matte finish, and just enough copper color to look good…
