There is no 240p out

I used this to convert VGA from a RASPBERRY PIE running retro to CGA on an arcade machine and while that worked the output is 480i. So if you want to get 240p output, look elsewhere. As for the raspberry, I ended up making a homemade VGA-RGB/ES connector and setting the configuration in the raspberry to output 240p at 15kHz and it ended up looking MUCH BETTER.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Crumpled

Ideal for converting arcade machines

I have a classic real arcade machine and wanted to convert a VGA signal to a 15Hz arcade CRT monitor. It works absolutely *perfectly* and allows me to transform into a fully fledged custom MAME office. I searched the forums and YouTube for several months, saw many recommendations and finally decided and bought it. I can't recommend it highly enough. It is so easy and flawless to set up that it has exceeded all my expectations.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Worked fine for my application.

For connecting a VGA card to a computer with an arcade monitor 640x480 30Hz - 15kHz. Adjusting the brightness resulted in washed out or oversaturated colors. Well worth the investment to test my new (for me) Wells Gardner K7400 before I can develop a proper 15kHz graphics card output that works flawlessly with the best colors. It should be noted that the output connector is not a regular Molex .156 KK. As with most arcade chassis boards you have to cut the end and re-crimp the connectors which…

I have a couple of arcade machines; I have a Vision Pro monitor in my vertical cabinet. It worked on 486-66 with an Arcadevga graphics card, but the computer started to crash, so I was looking for a way to switch to a more modern setup. With this board I was able to run almost any 640x480-1024x768 VGA signal and convert it for an arcade monitor. You need to connect it to the RGBS pins, so get ready to make a cable. The quality is also bad at 640x480 and 800x600, but "acceptable" at 1024x768…

Used to display a PC signal on a 15kHz CRT: works, but not as well.

Used this on my Wells-Gardner K7000 15kHz Monitor to install gaming gear on my PC. The adapter harness that plugs into the monitor housing was not compatible so I had to cut off one end and plug in the appropriate Molex connector. In general, the adapter worked, but the picture was a bit washed out, mainly because my computer played 480p and above and couldn't zoom out. The main reason I wouldn't recommend this product for a PC arcade setup is that the input lag added by the adapter is very…

Mostly satisfied with audio and video accessories

Product works as described. The quality of the output image will be slightly affected, but not much. Also, it comes with no instructions and I had to spend about an hour setting up this board and the arcade monitor it was connected to. The biggest problem is getting the image output and edge alignment correct as the board can only make incremental adjustments. And the last thing to remember. This board has DIP switches and an internal menu system. Internal menu settings are not saved when the…
