McGard 74039 Marine Propeller Thread Review

Used on a 2017 Mercury 4-Stroke 150hp. The round, smooth collar would be difficult to remove with anything other than a key without a great deal of time and effort. Fiber nut coating is a nice finishing touch

Call me "old". Molded" but I don't like the "nylon nut" over the cotter pin. Stocked "but" every time I come back I check it visually. I don't see how they could have made "it" any different can, but in my opinion it is uncomfortable!

So far so good. Literally did the install and it worked all season. I recommend anyone using this to follow proper torque specs for final tightening. Also, use the included card to order a second key for yourself, just in case.

Works great with my 2002 Mercury 125 SW outboard. I bought a new SS prop and am keeping my boat dry docked so I wanted to make sure the shiny new prop didn't grow a leg and get stuck on someone else's outboard. Highly recommended!
