Not very good

Uh, if I needed this for more than a small project I'd spend more money on a better product. That being said, when the shot is aligned, it hits pretty well. I could do 3 sheets of thick watercolor paper at one time, but it's more convenient to do 2. The pens feel good, but unfortunately slip easily. When I finished, my pencils were completely upside down. Also, the spot that catches/holds the perforated paper has gaps large enough for any cuttings to constantly fall out. I moved away from the…

McGill Long Range Hole Punch:

I don't use this item very often but when I need it I find that 2" reach really comes in handy. I love hanging my items in clear bags with a nail lock in the rafters so I can see them more easily and a 1/4 inch opening is the way to go and items packaged in cardboard bubbles usually require this as well deeper holes. I didn't know they had a deeper reach so when I saw them on amazon.com I told them to think about how many times I wanted to hit a hole further. They also have durable handles. My…

Pros
  • Hand punch creates 1/8" round shape

Poorly made

I have a 30 year old McGill hole punch that magically punched a hole in a small USPS priority mail box. The old one worked so well I was making holes in two boxes at once without realizing it. But I needed deeper penetration. The punch of a new punch hits the edge of the metal hole it has to pass through due to poor alignment and poor quality control. Apparently trying to punch a hole in flimsy cardboard makes the problem worse. I literally can't punch a hole with it. The only way to hit a hole

Pros
  • 2" reach allows for more flexible positioning
Cons
  • Available in white only
