Experimenting with Sigma 30mm 1.8 lens on Panasonic GX9 with one or two rings installed. It does a good job of creating macros with nice bokeh due to f/1.8 and rings.

The ones I received was the Meike brand, not sure if they are the same companies. However, thanks to the high-quality plastic and metal fittings, the pipes look solid. This helps get decent close-ups of small objects. The autofocus works well, but it's a little difficult to focus. Manual focus works better for me. If you need high-quality macro photography, it is better to buy a special macro lens.

Is worth $26, was tested with an Olympus 17mm f/1.8 and was really impressed with the results making it a high magnification macro lens. Note however that with such a close focus distance it becomes difficult to properly light the subject and the focal plane is very thin, well fitted and finished and all lens functions work as if they were attached directly to the camera. Highly recommended for macros on a budget.

I received these for use with an Oly 60mm f/2.8 macro lens with Oly FL-LM2 flash kit with cardboard tube/diffuser. The diffuser was built to reach a 60mm tip so the flash is somewhat hidden with the extensions added; it doesn't help the extra light needed for the extension but I haven't had any issues so far. I have the MEIKE brand tubes listed as $5-6 more expensive than these on Revain. Was it a mistake? I don't know, but I've noticed that other reviewers have mentioned this in other Revain reviews. I bought the plastic version of this set of extension rings. It's just great. The extension ring's job is to move the back of the lens further away from the flange on the body, allowing the lens to focus closer than would be possible simply with the lens' focus coil. It should hold the lens firmly and also parallel to the mounting flange. This can be a challenge given the weight and length of some zoom lenses. However, the Mcoplus tubes worked well.
