Description of Mediabridge Banana Plugs: Premium Corrosion Resistant Gold Plated Accessories & Supplies for High-Quality Audio & Video Experience

Includes 7 pairs of banana plugs, which are meant for attaching to speaker wire and supplying a high-quality signal path from audio components like a speaker to an audio/video receiver, amplifier or other professional sound application. Compatible with bare wire, spades, or other banana plugs, and work with 8-18 AWG speaker wire. Connectors & crimping teeth are coated in corrosion-resistant 24K gold-plating for lasting, for secure fits with clarity, natural sonic accuracy and no distortion. A wider base minimizes shorting for maximum signal transfer, and a 2-piece screw-on design makes for reliable termination/reuse. Simply connect existing speaker wires to a banana plug through its bottom piece (step-by-step installation guide included). Self-crimping teeth make for easy one-time installs, and a low profile build only sticks out 1”. The heavy-duty plugs are color coded, distinguishing left from right to enable matching polarity. Fast-lock is a great plug-and-play alternative to using bare wire when connecting devices, taking away the hassle of crimping or soldering. Each plug has a female banana plug connector on the bottom, allowing you to hook up speakers to a single output.

Simple and functional; 14 is the wrong number

They are easy to assemble and seem to make a solid connection (12 ga stranded speaker wire) but during installation I had an idea. Banana connectors are commonly used in audio applications such as speaker wire or connections that require 4 connectors per wire. 8 connectors make a cable pair, so you have 6 connectors. 6 connectors are enough to make another cable and a half. They may need to be packaged in sets of 8 or 16. Otherwise I'm happy with them.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Stop putting speaker wire in banana plugs!

I am ordering for the second time. They're really good value for money and feel premium. If you've run speaker wires behind banana plugs, do yourself a favor and order them. Just make sure you order enough. You will need two pairs for each speaker cable if both your speakers and receiver support banana plugs. Of course, you only need one pair per speaker cable if only your speakers or receiver support it.

  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • too stupid

Worked great! suitable for audio and video accessories

I have compared several of these plugs and found them to be the most cost effective and user friendly. I have a 7.2.2 receiver that I always thread through a copper twist using just screwdrivers, always PIA. When I replaced my last receiver I decided to clean up a bit and finally install these (many years ago banana plugs were very expensive). Installing each connector took several minutes. No tools were required other than a pair of pliers to trim the old copper ends, and the plugs fit easily…

High quality, low price

These banana plugs are very high quality and worth every penny. They are easy to use - threading 12 gauge wire was easy. Simply unscrew the connector, feed the wire through, then spread the bare wires around the fitting and twist them back together. They matched my speakers and receiver perfectly. My only regret is that I didn't buy enough. I am using 7.1 surround sound and miscalculated how much I need so I need to order more. You will need 2 pairs per speaker - one pair for the speaker and…

Connected to the top product

Arrived on time. The package was the right size. Not too much and not too little. The product was easy to install. Handling the part I could tell it was well made and would last. Each plug is installed as intended. When I plugged them in I could tell they fitted well and was assured I couldn't expect any loss in sound quality. I would buy them again and would recommend this particular product to anyone who values a quality installation. Anyone can plug wires into an expensive radio and get good

EXCELLENT QUALITY AND THE SET OF 7 WAS JUST THE RIGHT SIZE!

I used this cable with gold plated Mediabridge banana plugs so it's a lot easier to plug it into the back of the amp now! The quality of these plugs is amazing. Used with 14 gauge copper mediabridge wire and the 'weak link' in my digital AV system was gone (I used to have 18 gauge copper wire, such poor conductivity and running the wires to the back of the AV -Receivers was a headache). Butt). This set was perfect for my 7.1 surround sound system (I already had an extra cable so this 7…

Best for 14 gauge or larger wire. Stay away from smaller wires.

I have a 7.1 system with 16 gauge wire that goes to all 7 of my speakers. The way these connectors grip the bare wire requires the wire to be fanned out and then the connector screwed in. The problem is that 16 gauge wire, and of course any wire less than 16 gauge, will pull straight out of the connector once twisted together. There just isn't enough thickness where the teeth of the fork grab the wire. I overcame this by twisting the end of the wire as usual to insert it into the connector pin…

The best I've ever used.

I've bought many types and brands of speaker terminals and these are by far the best. The delivery was on time and the packaging was excellent. And the 7 pair pack was perfect for a 7.2 sound system. The price was very reasonable. Particularly pleased with the way it was attached to the wire. The way the top part is attached with male threads instead of female threads (other brands) results in a significant variation in bare speaker cable length. Bottom line, extremely easy installation. A 14…
