WHY SILVER CALCIUM ALGINATE? Silver Calcium is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial that helps prevent infection of wounds while providing optimum environment to facilitate healing. The alginate produces a hydrophilic gel when it comes into contact with wound exudate which provides a moist healing environment. COMFORTABLE USE: Conforms to body contours and provides maximum patient comfort. Does not stick to the wound to prevent secondary damage and can be cut to size for those difficult areas. SEMI-PERMEABLE: Semi–permeable PU film acts a liquid barrier while allows the passage of oxygen and water vapor. The multilayer structure works together to create a high absorbent yet breathable surface keeping the wound moist and sterile. STERILE AND INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED: Each dressing is manufactured in a sterile facility and are individually wrapped to prevent contamination of wounds. Can be used in hospitals, senior care homes, hospice, and other medical facilities. MULTI-USE: Effective for applications such as post-operative wounds, bed sores, cysts, pressure ulcers, burns, and other minor traumas. Approved for Level II of the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). Use code A6209 for billing/claims

Shipped With NO protection, Has No Adhesive Edges, Instructions Awful

The box was shipped unprotected, with just mailing labels over it. The description doesn't mention that there is no adhesive edge, so you have to improvise a way to stick it to the wound. The directions mention peeling off a film that is permanently bonded to the foam (moisture barrier) and cannot be removed anyway. It is mentioned in the Q&A that there is no adhesive, which I missed, but this, as is, is just half of a bandage, and an expensive half at that.

stuff works absorbs well any leakage of wound.

silver antibacterial stuff, can cut into smaller sections to stretch supplies. I use the tegra clear overpatches to seal, also use silver wound cream, don't scratch it!

Great product! on my review.

I don’t know that I can say enough good things about this product…It’s a much cheaper alternative to mepilex silver, End it definitely keeps the G-tube site clean, infection free, and without granulation tissue!

Same as my other great finds, great lower price for exact same product going for more money. Foam is always very comfortable.Silver added is a great bonus.Very happy with these

Backing does not come off!

I have no idea if this product deserves a review as I can't get the backing off in order to try it. So, it's absolutely of no value to me. I'd like my money refunded. Don't buy this product.

Great bandage - my new review

Much recommend for a wound that needs a bandage to stay in place. Doesn’t hurt open wounds. Pulls off w ease. absorbs plenty of discharge.

It works! good for me

This stuff has been a God-send for my poor, horribly painful finger! My cat got her claw down in between the fingernail and the flesh on the side of it. As a result, the flesh under the skin swelled up until it poked through the skin and protruded up between nail and side of finger. I had never experienced an injury like this before; for such a small area it throbbed and hurt all over my body. Not Antibiotic ointment or anything else I tried worked. Cannot remove backing from foam

This item must have a shelve life and revain had this in inventory for years or the manufacturers quality control sucks. Spent an hour trying get adhesive backing off foam. Tried on another sheet and same thing. Returned this the same day. Going try and find something that works.

Very good Antimicrobial dressing for Wounds

I liked that I was able to cut the size I needed with sanitized scissors. This is an anti microbial dressing for wounds. Used to cover small wound to coccyx. Helped heal surgical would left open after a tramatic injury.
