Meguiars Ultimate Interior Detailer Protectant Review

More than anything from my previous order, I think this stood out as the best. Just check before and after my SUV and my old Sentra.

I like this stuff because it's one step: clean and detailed. And shine just right. When 0 is flat and 10 is shiny wet, this material falls by about 6. Not too shiny, not greasy, but definitely makes the car feel like new. And the cost is good too.

I give this unit two stars because it gets the job done but smells awful. That's one of the reasons I stopped buying a lot of stuff from Amazon - you can't trust what you buy. It's hit or miss. I used to order this from Amazon and it was really cheap, but this one smells like vinegar. I will no longer buy this or any other car cleaning product from Amazon. In any case, the price is the same at O'Reilly and Walmart, so what's the point?

When I first applied it with a cotton rag it left streaks on smooth surfaces and stains on textured plastics. The product is not bad, but not perfect. I've noticed that the label on the back looks best on clean surfaces. I was under the impression that this is a cleaner (as written in the description). I didn't realize I had to clean it up first (with something else) and then use it to get good results. Unfortunately, Ultimate Interior Detailer doesn't clean or protect. You really need to clean your interior before applying this product or you'll just make dirt, dust and debris shine. This is a low gloss or satin finish unless you apply multiple coats. You will be applying multiple coats as this product rubs off easily making it very noticeable if someone touches your door panel or dashboard.
